Daddy's Home is gonna reach 150M DOM. Next week Norm seems to be DOA so it should do at least 14M over the 4 day weekend.

That $41m number for Star Wars looks quite optimistic. So far, it didn't play like a family movie at all (why should it, statistics show, it's scewing very old), so $38m wouldn't surprise me, even lower is on the cards to be honest.

Probably not even $10M with someone like, for example, Andrew Garfield starring instead. The movie is definitely not a crowd-pleaser.

Adjusted for inflation-wise....with $781M.....Force Awakens has now passed Phantom Menace's $777M.

 

And the fact that film was released back in 1999.......Damn!

Won't be truly happy though until it has safely cleared TPM's admissions. So give it another 50-70m or so.

With a 12.1M true Friday, Revenant is on track for a 39-40M weekend, TFA on track for a very similar number. Most likely TFA will sneak out a win come Monday actuals.

Star Wars loses Large Format screens at most theaters (or has to share them) next week with 13 Hours and Ride Along 2 releasing in those screens. That will hurt the hold more than anything else as the average ticket price will reduce.

 

If Nut Job could open to 25M 4 day, Norm should manage 20M or so over the 4 day weekend for sure.
