i'm pretty content with the oscars this year thinking about it. Stallone winning is the only thing i'm invested in. maybe ennio too but aside from that every category could be a complete random surprise and i'd just be like "...ok."

Honestly none of this year's categories are at all interesting, with the exception of Actress.

How is BP not interesting this year out of curiosity? 3 films have a legit shot to win, Best Actress is completely decided as well.

As I said earlier the categories that I actually feel the least confident in are the sound cats-as I can see any of the films winning (well maybe not Sicario).

cinderella winning for costumes would be so dumb but it's the kind of dumb that wouldn't surprise me. mad max has won the costume awards pretty much everywhere so i feel good about that one though.

Costumes seem to be the most competitive category from 1-5 this year, any betting value you guys see? Mad Max 1.15/1, Cinderella 2.2/1, Carol 3.5/1, Danish Girl 7/1, Revenant 12/1.

As far as my taste goes, this may be the best oscar noms ever. I've seen 6 of the 8 noms and all of them are in my top 10 films of the year. (well one might be 11, still not sure)
