Pretty much. There's a chance at frontloaded-ness but being ahead of IIS and HTBS is a good sign

Me Before You has already sold out a bunch of showtimes in NYC tonight. A $10M opening day is not impossible at all.

I'm curious about TMNT 2... Almost nobody is talking about the movie. IMDB forum is empty, online discussions are rare...

 

I wouldn't be shocked to see a twist happening, with X-Men defeating TMNT 2.

I could see 9.2/8.5/6.8 for a 24.5M weekend best-case scenario.

 

Worser case would surely be more front loaded, 8.5/6.3/5 for 19.8M. That is of course if it has a pretty good OD.

TMNT: Out of the Shadows joins GI Joe: Retaliation and The Purge: Anarchy as sequels to widely disliked films that are liked much better than the first installments by critics.

I really had wanted this one to do well. They finally brought the actual cartoon characters to a movie.
