JohnnyGossamer
So... What kind of second weekend for Dory? I'm thinking about $75M+. But, that might be a bit too high though.

Mango
Sorry to be a downer about this but that Monday number, while fantastic, doesn't really dictate much about the weekend. Monday is inflated thanks to a deflated Sunday. It'll course correct itself over the week. Not trying to sound negative, I think that's a wonderful hold. Jayhawk the Hutt
Yeah, it'll decrease today, for a number of reasons.

It doesn't have to. Monday was probably inflated due to Game 7.

No, Monday wasn't inflated at all, the way I read it. If it would have had a normal Sunday, this drop would be about 50%, in line with TS3. So the Monday number isn't inflated and Tuesday should behave normally, imo.

This is the one thing I don't really get, why would Monday be inflated just because Sunday might be deflated. If I didn't get to see a film on Sunday (for whatever reason), I may go on Saturday (if I'm really excited) to see it. If I still haven't seen it by end of Sunday, the rush factor is kind of gone, so I'll see it on Tuesday with a discount, or I'll wait till next weekend.

Mango
I guess we'll see. $20 million seems too high for a normal Monday even coming off of a "should-be" $40 million Sunday.
