Yeah, movies today can't compare. It's not that we're looking at the past with rose-colored glasses. The quality has declined/been relegated to TV.

Is that Saturday jump for Dory... any good?

Noticed BFG dropped from Friday... that can't be good for a family movie.

Seems kinda eh to me, but the Friday number was really good.

All the Sat numbers sans Tarzan seem pretty eh to me. Tarzan increased a fair bit from its actual Friday gross.

Purge 3 just needs to not collapse on Sunday to pass Purge 2's OW.  Using Rth's number it is already at 24.2 and just needs 5.6 on Sunday to pass Purge 2.

That Tarzan number is looking pretty good as well once the budget is stripped out of the picture.  It went UP from its 11.49 True Friday!

Cars 2 had a 20% bump on the same July 2nd Saturday albeit with much smaller numbers and was on its 2nd weekend. Going by that too, Dory will have a strong Sunday hold at the very least. So Around 41-42 for the 3 day.

I used to have a crush on Denise Richards when I was 10. But damn she still looks good.

Man,I was all set to see the race to see which movie made $100 million first between IDR,Conjuring 2 and CI ,but it is starting to legitimately look like IDR won't even get there.

CI gets there first next Friday with CJ2 right behind it on Sunday. IDR dies of heart attack before the finish line:stretcher:

CI 125m

CJ2 108m

ID4 97m
