I've actually been seeing a lot of tv spots for Nerve (more than I have for Bad Moms) I'm thinking about checking it out this week before Bourne considering I'm a Roberts fan, there are some OITNB cast members, and the reviews aren't that bad (the RT score is currently higher than Jason Bourne).

muted Tuesday with the exception of IA5 - did the nerve previews really bite into things that hard? It just seems like Sunday / Monday / now tuesday are more depressed than has been norm the last couple of weeks.

Nerve didn't bite into anything. $1 million doesn't cause a shift for the entire box office.

So... Nerve might do 20M by Sunday? Lol

I'd say more like $16-18M if I had to guess.

Lol no. $1M in previews isn't really biting into anything.

IA5's increase is baffling, to say the least. Yes, kids films often get boosts on Tuesday, but nothing else came remotely close in the top 12.

Maybe word of mouth was so bad that people would only take a chance when they could get discounted tickets. Or maybe it's an just an outlier.

Imax will prevent bug bumps and drops

not entirely tru Imax can vary from staying flat to having increases (although not as much as other formats) but its also not high enough % of BO to have a big impact on films overall % increase/decrease

Holy shit at that Ice Age 5 increase.

Canada as per normal big swing there but some other films just as much, it also had big increases in middle American and some major markets like Chicago

So why do you think ST had such a small increase @Rth

had reasonable increase in Canada, but standard 2d/3d format not much increase , PLF was huge increase but not enough (PLF BO often can be similar to IMX at least initially) to sig change the overal %

Do many theatres in the States do discount Tuesday? Man, their midweek business must suck if they don't.

Any chance Nerve does 3.5-4M+ today?
