But the Mom/Dad with kids might skip Nutcracker anyway, since it looks like a bad film and there will be other better, family alternatives anyway.

Looks fine, but they shot digital so everything just looks shiny and plastic, i big no when shooting period pieces in my opinion

So what are the predictions for this film? trailer looks dope and Queen was a legend. with the behind the scenes drama, plus the controversial content of the film keep it from a major breakout, also is it going to be good? I feel like this should easily be looking at a $100m+ gross. but this film is really hard to peg for me.

Who knows?

I think, though, good reviews are going to be necessary for this film to be a hit. It is the kind of film where the reviews do matter.

One thing;It looks more and more like it won't have to worry much about "The Nutcracker and the Four Relams", which looks like a fiasco for Disney.

I can only offer anecdotal evidence but this movie is the most talked about of any upcoming movies in my circles. Poeple who rarely go to the cinema talk about this one. OMG the trailer! OMG the music! When is it out?

I feel like this could make anywhere from Get on Up ($30M) to Walk the Line ($119M) numbers. A broad net, I know.

With the fall movie season upon us, moviegoers are mapping out what to watch and what to skip when it comes to the slate of new releases. It looks like the Sorting Hat has spoken as Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the most anticipated movie of the fall.

According to a Fandango survey, the Warner Bros. Potterverse sequel topped the list with 20th Century Fox’s Bohemian Rhapsody in second place. Following the Freddie Mercury biopic is Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff Venom and rounding out the bunch are Disney’s Ralph Breaks the Internet and the remake of A Star Is Born with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

Over 1,000 film fans voted in Fandango’s fall movie survey which polled moviegoers which movies they were looking forward to seeing between Sept. 7 and Thanksgiving weekend. Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star is Born are likely to be award season bait, but let’s not discount the other three. With the Academy’s new “Best Popular Movie” category, they may be in the running as well.

 

 

In addition to the most anticipated movie, Fandango surveyed fans in categories such as Most Anticipated Actor and Actress as well as Most Anticipated Horror and Family movies.
