So basically, the only takeaway from these awards is that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is probably getting nominated. And sadly I think it's coming at Lucas Hedges' expense, because I can't see them going for two under 30 actors in the same category.

 

Oh, and La La Land has Best Picture on lock. Go home, everyone. It's over.

I mean it does stroke their ego with the tribute to old Hollywood, etc. But in terms of the message of the film...Moonlight is heavier material.

True, but that statistic of it being more than 40 years since the Supporting Actor winner here not making it at the Oscars sure isn't to be discounted.
