What the hell is the Weinstein doing? The Founder got really good reviews but it was a dump in 1100 theaters. Lion continues to do well in 500 theaters since Christmas day and never got another expansion. Meanwhile Gold is getting 2200+ theaters. What the fuck.

Lion really needs to expand next weekend after Oscar nominations. The marketplace will be barren for two weeks and it can gain some traction. But alas, Weinstein wants to promote Gold instead for some inexplicable reason.

The Founder should've stayed in the summer where it would've made for solid adult counterprogramming.

The Founder could have done good numbers.

It had a slightly lower PTA than The Founder despite being in half of the theaters. I'll be shocked if they don't expand it next weekend.

They will be too busy giving Gold all the theaters possible.
