BATB INCREASED ON THURSDAY! HOPE IT IS A GOOD WEEKEND SIGN!!!

http://deadline.com/2017/04/smurfs-the-lost-village-going-in-style-boss-baby-beauty-and-the-beast-box-office-1202064314/

.....Beauty was first last night with $3.1M at 4,210 theaters and a running cume of $407.3M while Boss Baby made $2.7M at 3,773 venues with a week’s take of $63.1M. Paramount/DreamWorks’ Ghost in the Shell filed third with $1.15M at 3,440 ending its week with $24.2M. Mid-week business didn’t help this $250M production (that’s including P&A)....

It looks like Boss baby is more of a weekend movie. That Thu number is a bit low considering last weekend overperformance, don't you think?

Typically Animated films are the definition of a weekend movie - especially during the school year.

Boss Baby should increase at least 200% today and is still looking for 25m+ for the Weekend

Even at a lower 150% its still going over 25m

+150% = 6.75

+85% = 12.4875

-35% = 8.116

Weekend Total of 27.354

Also - before anyone uses HOME as a comp for this weekend - this was EASTER weekend for Home, however the pattern will be great to look at next weekend, particularly since HOME also dealt with a Furious Film opening on it's Easter frame.

Edit**

Matter of Fact if one uses Home's regular weekends then there is great possibility that Boss Baby could go as high as 32-33m this weekend.

BATB back on top! Since I'm bored I'm going to try guessing PR number on Thrusday. Going to say 923,111. It been about 200,000 ahead of Kong. So I figured that would be it's number.

Glad to see an increase. Hopefully it holds well this weekend. $5.5M+

Yeah, Kong seems to be holding steady unlike other movies.

Look at the Rogue One number - nice job BoxOfficeMojo lol. I have to start ignoring that site. They post HOURS late after The Numbers and usually can't be bothered to post correctly either. Great for historical box office but bad for current info.
