The trailer worked better for me, most likely because there’s far less focus on the creepy uncanny valley scenes.

 

Still not fully sold but it should hopefully at least be better than Flight.

This trailer has more of the vibe I was expecting them to go for.  Going to be really interesting to see if audiences take to this because it's so different.

Yeah it looks more and more like this is going to be the season's DOWNSIZING.

 

Poor Universal, I'd say too. MORTAL ENGINES is probably going to tank as well.

Oh, it’s not even a question Mortal Engines will flop hard. With Spider-Man, Aquaman, Bumblebee, Mary Poppins, etc. all playing, who’s gonna be left to check that out?

Zemeckis is one of my favorites. Based mostly on his work 18-35 yrs ago though. Back to the Future 1 and 2, CastAway, Forrest Gump, Roger Rabbit, What Lies Beneath - iconic films! 

 

I’ll give it a shot.  He deserves that.

Agreed. The Walk didn't deserve to bomb the way it did. And Allied was... unfortunate but it definitely wasn't terrible.

The late review doesn't give me much hope this will be good. I really do want this to be good and not Downsizing. I'm still upset Downsizing was as bad as it was.

Yep. Flight, Allied and The Walk were good films but terrible boxoffice wise. Sucks, but I enjoyed them. I’m just glad he’s past his obsession with mocap (Polar Express, Beowulf, A Christmas Carol). Hehe
