Thiat's the 1st time India significantly contributes to the global BO of a movie.

Nice!

India grossed 38 million for Jungle Book, being its 4th biggest market, just behind USA, China and UK ;)

Not if you just look at it day by day right?

Yeah if you know the gross for each separate day then sure, that's great, but usually you don't, especially after OW.

But we get a report everyday so it has to be posible for us to examine the real drop. Might do some digging.

If that's true: (713.3-17.6-(566.7-4.9))/(383-95)=0.465 => 53.5% drop, still very good

Those were examples, there are a lot of markets like this (and Japan with the opposite problem) I just don't know all of them.

I use total number - total till end of Thursday so it should be true FSS

The daily numbers we get from OS are very very crude estimates.

The OS weekend number which is reported has 2-5 days weekend in different markets:

SS: Japan

FSS: UK, China etc

TFSS: Russia, Australia

WTFSS: France

This gets further complicated by extended opening in some markets.

So the conclusion is, calculating drops isn't as exact a science as it is for domestic.... especially from OW to 2nd weekend.

A right, in that case the 53.5% should be close to accurate (although not 100% just because dailies are an estimate).

Giving it a decent 2.5x multiplier from this weekend, it should finish 950-960M OS-China. DOM is looking at 650M. So China needs to do 400M for IW to hit $2B WW.

@POTUS is projecting 240 OW / 460 total in China...

Even $950 mln without China is still very possible.

Already at 713M oversea.

162.6 intl weekend after a very similar -56/57% drop.

It need to do 1.45 time it's weekend to reach that with no more market to opening to help. Should be doable right ?

Not convinced about this doing 950 million os without China .

Yeah I thought nothing opened this weekend to help the legs, but Russia did (beating a record I think).... could make it close.

Read it wrong the first time.

Which countries count Thursday in to wk?

No idea, but at least Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France (also counts Wednesday towards the weekend), Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Hungary.
