The key takeaway here, besides the fact that a brand new complex opened up in town after Black Panther opened, is that BP had an absolute monster MTWTh presales here in Sacramento.  Theaters added a ton of showings to try to keep up with demand, and in the end they couldn't.

Said it a while ago, and it bears repeating: DP2 and JW are in more theaters locally than any of the other three flicks tracked, even when counting the new theater that opened in March.  Still probably doesn't mean all THAT much as folks will simply go to another theater if they really want to see a film

Also shows just how badly Solo did in comparison as it will fall well behind BP, DP2, and IW in day-to-day sales.

So far, JW:FK is doing better than Solo on a day-to-day track.  But, and it pains me to say this, low bar to clear is low.

Skyscraper is getting two screens at my AMC: the second biggest auditorium for 2D and an average one for 3D. I’m guessing Ant-Man is keeping the biggest

I expect Hotel Transylvania will be #1 that weekend.

Naaaaaaah. It’s goong to be lucky to hit 35M at this point

Even if it does, I don’t think Skyscraper will open over $35M, hype pretty much died for it.

Besides, I see at least $40M for HT3.

Yeah, it's hard imagining Skyscraper making much more than Rampage did at this point.

Especially considering Incredibles 2, Fallen Kingdom and Ant Man and The Wasp will have satisfied it’s main demos.

Ouch, I had Sicario at 3,150 and Uncle Drew at 2,850 for June weekend #5.  *crumples up and throws paper onto ground*

6/29/2018 Sicario: Day of the Soldado $14,000,000   $37,000,000   2,700 Sony / Columbia
6/29/2018 Uncle Drew $16,500,000   $45,000,000   2,200

Lionsgate / Summit

Drew was never going to get that many theaters. Sicario could still hit 3k though

I was doing my presales thing and I noticed that on June 30, Hotel Transylvania 3 has a 3 PM showing on that day. Does anyone else have that happening at their theaters? Sony did advance previews with Smurfs and Jumanji last year, so it makes sense Sony would do it for this film.

Also, it hasn't sold anything. When you try to buy tickets, it actually leads to a 404, I assume because it was just added into the site's database.

I'd assume they are just super sneaks to get word of mouth activated.  Like when awards films have 1 showing in December, and then release in March.

They had a advance screening for Homecoming around the same time in my area last year as well. Perhaps it’s another advanced screening?

Movietickets.com top 5 pre-sellers

66.2% - Incredibles

5.9% - Oceans 8

4.9% - Jurassic

4.8% - Tag

3.8% - Solo

good to see Solo still managing to be above Deadpool 2 with the week advantage.  It will likely stay in the top 5 over the weekend around where it was likely predicted to be during this time on MT ahead of time.
