Good increase in ticket sales. Even without the new theater I added, there were still 123 tickets sold. It’ll be interesting to see how this week goes with sales.

If we're talking about ticket goals, I'd say 10.2k is the target in Sacto.

Currently at 2,559 (as of last night).

TS4 did 5,079 over the last 12 days.

5,079 * 1.5 = 7,619 (rounded)

7,619 + 2,559 = 10,178.

Round up to 10.2k and that equals 1.521x TS4 total = 18.25m

In case people care, 10.2k at final bell would also be

2.615x Aladdin = 18.31m

3.2946x Pika PIka = 18.78m

To get to 20m in previews as a comp, 11.2k in tickets sold at final bell would be the target, more or less.

Not with pulse and MT down. Small openers like that usually don't get much manual seat count attention (for good reason, people would burn the fuck out). @Menor's Cinemark scraping might provide some insight later in the week?

I think @Krissykins meant from the trades. ;)

Haven't seen anything recent on those two outside of BOP. Probably get an updates by Wed.

This is the latest from BOP for what it's worth:

Quote
7/12/2019 Crawl $15,000,000 -17% $39,000,000 -17% 3,000 Paramount
7/12/2019 Stuber $17,000,000 -3% $63,000,000 -3% 3,000 Fox

I'll probably be more interested in tracking FFH weekend 2/TLK OW presales this weekend tbh. Unless any of you are particularly interested in Crawl or Stuber numbers?

Thanks, BOP reduced Crawl by $3m from yesterday lol. I think it’ll do sub $10m anyway.

Side note yeh, my eyes glaze over with these big sequels and remakes when they reach a certain level, I find the smaller surprises and sleeper hits more interesting to follow.

On movies that small I never start until the week before, and it depends on if the theaters even doing previews.

So I was starting out my comps, and I just realized that one of the theaters I was tracking was not in PA, but all the way in Michigan. It wasn't my fault, because both theaters share the exact same name (don't ask me why), but it still sucks. And wouldn't you know it, it completely screws up all the work I've done so far. To quote the star of Show Dogs, I made a huge mistake.

So basically I'll have one adjusted comp that excludes the messed up theater, and then I'll add in the new theater into the mix.

TLK Previews (as of this afternoon) at Cinemark

Theaters: 230

Showings: 3095

Tickets Sold:42343

Estimated ATP: $12.83

Estimated Total Sales: $543,333  (25% of FFH OD final sales)

note: Estimated ATP doesn't account for a larger frequency of child tickets, only for premium screens/3D percentage.

Based on this I estimate that TLK previews have already earned between $4 and $5 million in presales nationwide.

My extreme sympathies.  Tracking a wrong theater would legit be one of my nightmares.

At least you caught it AND it was only for about a week or so.
