os for Ninjago may end up low too. If Lego Bat did 136 (much below it's 176 dom), then by that calculation Ninjago should do 55 os with a 70 dom, for 125 ww.

The best news of the weekend (am sensitized to IT's over-performance) is Home Again still gunning for 30 dom on a 12m prod budget. Happy for Reese.

The Circle

Apr 28–30 5 $9,034,148 - 3,163 - $2,856 $9,034,148 1
May 5–7 6 $3,959,045 -56.2% 3,163 - $1,252 $15,654,158 2

mother! will be on 13.1m after a 3m weekend according to Deadline. 2.5m behind Circle at the same stage with a smaller weekend (3m vs 4m).

Considering Circle added 5m more to it's cume and ended with 20.5 dom, mother! may not add much more than 4m to it's cume for ~17m dom.

mother! dom under valerian ow is something to brag about @That One Guy

Meh....will end up with a little over 100M domestically. Fox has had a bad year minus Logan.

yeah, will match it's prod budget dom so that's good news but 3rd movie looks suspect.

good. please get vaughn working on superman.

STORKS was 5.8 + 9.4 + 6.1 = 21.3 weekend

With some franchise front-loading built in the new Lego movies, I don't think NINJAGO can trend better (but who knows, it could surprise).

Same trend gives 22.4 ow using the 6.1 od from Deadline.

I predicted 30+mil so I'm wrong but I understand why Ninjago failed. I didn't expect the reviews to be as bad as they were. I thought it would get in the 70's on RT.

It's doing less than EMOJI with 6% RT so that does not explain it.

BOSS BABY reviews are close to NINJAGO with 52% on RT.

DM3 is barely fresh at 61%.

CAP UNDERPANTS has the best reviews with 87% on RT. It opened a little below Emoji with worse legs (3.0x vs Emoji's 3.5x).

I am thinking that would be great, plus the story of Beren and Luthien and The Fall of Gondolin.

Beren and Luthiens story is great, perhaps better than all in Silmarillion barring that of Turin. But the problem with their story is that it heavily revolves around the Silmarils and to tell the story of the Silmarils you need to tell a huge portion of Silmarillion (nearly the whole of Quenta Silmarillion).

The story of Gondolin is good but I prefer children of hurin.

Btw if you have not already, I would recommend reading The Unfinished Tales after you finish Silmarillion. Its a great book if you wanna delve deeper into the world of LoTR. There are a lot of stories and information in that book.
