Well, looks like my days of searching Twitter for reactions and/or news is (practically) over.

Haven't found any official word (in fact I thought it was just glitching on and off last night), but near as I can tell the "Latest" tab on Twitter is unavailable for folks who aren't logged in.  And like hell am I going to sign up just so I can search for things in chronological order.

Maybe there's a rollout of a new Twitter Search mechanism and maybe when enough folks notice there'll be extension bypasses. And maybe there's a different way to search things by chronological order (using adv search and date field didn't work either - or at least I couldn't figure out how to make it work).

Until then, guess I'll just have to put up with aggregators or folks with a login to do my work for me.

Speaking of that ankle, let's have a Live Look at the Twins Medical Staff as they check out the updated physical:

I mean, it's gotta be degenerative and incurable at this point, right?

To see the deal cut in half in years means there's a ton of uncertainty that he can play past 35 without possibly making him a lifelong cripple.

I believe it is some sort of arthritis (which admittedly covers a pretty wide spectrum).

FWIW, there are performance/appearance vesting options which could bring up the contract to 10/270, but that's still a far cry from 13/350 or 12/315.

I found that out when he initially signed with the Giants.  If I were better at photoshop, I would have messed around with the poster and @'ed you.

As it is:

I'm just curious what Twins fans really think?  Like he used your team to pivot to another team to get that sweet contract and now he's back!

Not a Twins fan, but I'd presume that they're happy to get him at a pretty good bargain.  6/200 is pretty sweet all things considered if the ankle is more of a ticking time bomb that had a chance to go off a few years down the line, but is no sure thing.  He doesn't need to produce much at all to justify that contract.

Sure it was messy, but in the end it's the results that matter.

At least Vince gets to swim in his pool of money @Cap @CJohn

This was the worst possible owner, but hey - Money is money i guess. Big exodus of everyone happening soon.

This is truly scumbag city!!!!

it will be certainly interesting to see who stays, and who goes. Because it isn’t like there’s an alternative, other than AEW. And they really don’t need anyone else. The roster is big enough.

I feel absolutely terrible for Regal. Maybe he can get out of his deal, and him, and his son can go back AEW. I also wanna know what’s gonna happen with Sammy Zane. I don’t watch the WWE, but I absolutely follow that entire story line on Twitter. And this news could not happen at the worst time for that story line. We’re gonna have a full year of build up, and it’s gonna go sideways with no proper resolution. :(

Someone made an interesting point that the true “winner” here might be Freddy Prince Junior, who has been floating the idea starting a wrestling organization. He might be able to get some people to jump ship.

The end of WWE is here. Vince will go back to head of creative and run the company. Disgusting.

Cultural appropriation is such a landmine.

You are responding with people being part of other culture by engaing in gate keeping of other peoples culture...however we want to encourage multiculturalism where peple take part in other people cultures but get offended when people want to cook their foods, try their dances or make their music.

😅

(if you are indian calling out sometone for offending your culture its fine, it funny when white people call out somebody for apporiating a non white culture which i personally find a bit racist and paternalistic)

It such a mess this cultural appropriation issue. As long someone not mocking a culture, I see no issue.
