MODERATION:   Since we have like 3500 MCU threads, I’m just gonna post this here in hopes that everyone sees it, so that I don’t have to post it like 3500 times individually and spam all the threads:   When you’re talking about the MCU, please make sure that you’re talking specifically about that title in that thread. I presented my research at a conference yesterday, people were being particularly harsh with their questions to others.  When I finished mine I got 3 or 4 ones that seemed like softball questions.  I asked my advisor later why he thought they went easy on me, he said “I don’t think they did.  I just think you scared them away with the math, so they weren’t able to be douches.”

 

I felt accomplished about that.  Scaring the douches away with math.
