Sam
4.8M for JL is around 140% jump, less than FB. Don’t see it getting to 18.5M, that’s a generous multiplier.
MovieMan89
23m would be disappointing for Coco. Worse second weekend hold than Moana, on par with Tangled. Tangled got a 2.94x multi from its 5 day.

narniadis
Ah, the good old days when Thursdays routinely saw small but steady increases for most films.... this of course was in the days before Thursday Night previews when Midnight only showings were strictly for fan heavy franchise films and not everything under the sun. For those of us that have been around a long time this is the way it used to be. Rather decent day overall - even the 1% dip by Justice League isn't anything terrible. Deadline has completely different numbers. http://deadline.com/2017/12/coco-three-billboards-shape-of-water-wonder-post-thanksgiving-weekend-box-office-1202217467/ If 18.5 Holds up For JL then that’s the best 3rd weekend drop among The two previous Thanksgiving Comps. Both Of those Films dropped 40% In weekend #4. Yet to know if JL will follow suit. Edited December 1, 2017 by Brainiac5
Rebeccas
I think we can usually assume deadline is wrong at this time/day. lol

Rebeccas
They're estimating 129k for Disaster Artist... really curious to see how this does. It's buzzy and hot but it's opening in 19 theaters.

seduh
Coco will go higher than $24 for sure. JL will make $17 at max

Was the Avengers the last big opening that had midnights only? Could have been. MOS would have been if not for that 7pm Walmart exclusive.

But yes, the good old days before you had to worry about being shot at a theater.... or of the definition of what "opening day" meant.

Potomac2001
Speaking of the Infinity War trailer bump to a much lesser extent it looks like SM:HC got a 30% bump yesterday. Now we're talking $100s of dollars but still.
