Thursday Numbers:JL $1.89M...

Recommended Posts

Ah, the good old days when Thursdays routinely saw small but steady increases for most films.... this of course was in the days before Thursday Night previews when Midnight only showings were strictly for fan heavy franchise films and not everything under the sun.

For those of us that have been around a long time this is the way it used to be.

Rather decent day overall - even the 1% dip by Justice League isn't anything terrible.

If 18.5 Holds up For JL then that’s the best 3rd weekend drop among The two previous Thanksgiving Comps.

Both Of those Films  dropped 40% In weekend #4. Yet to know if JL will follow suit.

hate to break it to ya, but IF the 4.8 holds then there is no statistical way it gets over 17m let alone comes close to 18m.

Don’t shoot the messenger :WHATanabe:

Maybe the 4.8 is a typo?

Yep. I remember those days.  Was the Avengers the last big opening that had midnights only?  Could have been. MOS would have been if not for that 7pm Walmart exclusive.

eh, if they didn't do Walmart they would have done the 10PMs that were already becoming standard at that point. But yes, the good old days before you had to worry about being shot at a theater.... or of the definition of what "opening day" meant.

I wonder if the IW trailer made some who maybe were indifferent to TR curious about why Thor has the eyepatch and why he's with the Guardians and now they're checking it out this weekend?

The IW trailer may also have been a bigger advertisement for Black Panther than the BP trailers.
