That's okay. The film is not great, but I think it is worth a look. One of the most actually comedic comedies of the year.

Doesn't surprise me. Clowes tend to be very "comicbooky" in general, and like his other adaptations, he worked on the screenplay too.

Yeah, and it’s not like a drama needs to be sad, but it needs to have a tone that’s more serious in nature.  There’s plenty of light dramas, but despite the humor they take their subjects more seriously and less light hearted.

Lady Bird would be right in between, I wouldn’t object to it being in either category.  It’s really a dramedy.

Correct! That's what "dramadies" are basically. They have lots of funny moments, but the overall plot tends to lean a bit on the serious side. Something like Lady Bird I would say fits that category as well.

James and Dave were interviewed on E! like 45 minutes ago so maybe Tommy and Greg didn't come with.

he said on Twitter that they're riding together.  probably asking the limo driver to go around the block a few times before arriving on the red carpet.

Best part about @Just Tele retiring is I can bring back Pokemon reactions any time I want to.

I wonder at what point, a film like I, Tonya or Three Billboards becomes a dramedy or a black comedy. A black comedy is finding humour in a dark or taboo subject which is what Three Billboards deals with,

I think black comedy can go either way. In the case of the globes though, a lot of it depends on how their crazy voting rules work, or the category that they think the film will do best in, hence why we ridiculous noms like The Martian and Get Out being in the comedy category in the first place.
