The drops this weekend within the Top 10 were exceptionally strong. When a poorly received horror film drops less than 60% despite a well-received horror movie also being in the marketplace and with the second weekend of a video game based movie only dropping a shade over 40%, then it was a good weekend for movies overall. The middle of April is typically a dead zone, especially without a Fast & Furious movie opening during the month.
