A big drop doesn't mean 850mil worldwide. I still think a billion is locked and loaded.

i don't think it'll drop that much either. maybe like 340/740

I feel like deep down most people here know that FK is headed for a massive drop off. Just a matter of how many are willing to fully accept it yet?

All fanboying aside, on the DOM front a big drop is much more likely than OS and Worldwide. China alone will balance out the drops in many markets though.

jw was huge because it was an EVENT. it was the first time humans could go to a zoo and see live dinosaurs. in movie form obviously, but that was literally the effect. the park is open. (basically the same effect as avatar: being transported to a new experience).

jw2 doesn't have that so i expect it to drop big, people have seen dinosaurs/creatures in this monsters attacking role a million times before. the novelty was the park.

Avengers to Age of Ultron domestic drop seems fair but not much more.  I feel like a similar feeling was there from Avengers to Ultron of the first one being an event and the second one being just more of the same.

That would give it what, around 470M? It seems fair. I am still hoping for over 500M domestically though.

So GOTG has the highest OW to TG ratio out of all the MCU films, with BP right behind. How much more will BP have to make to top Guardians' ratio?!

BP will need to get to 713.5m to overtake Guardians which obviously it wont.

I think Fallen Kingdom will open a good 20M below Ultron, but can make up for it with summer weekdays to match Ultron’s Dom total. Somewhere over/under 450M would be an okay drop off. Below 400M would be plain bad.

Thats mainly where my hope lays in, because Age of Ultron really was kinda a rehash of the first Avengers. Fallen Kingdom otoh looks very different from JW. That could be positive or negative though - we'll see.

There's nothing wrong with a big drop for FK, they'll be fine after they cast Josh Brolin in the third one

Lesson of the summer so far: Brolin in 3rd movie good, Brolin in 2nd movie bad.

Things looking grim for Soldado’s legs :Venom:

IW failed spectacularly to give me the Brolin/Goldblum interactions we all deserve. So if Jurassic franchise can pull that off, it’ll get a lifetime pass from me.
