Ocean's 8 and Tag should both be profitable for WB. $140-145 million DOM for O8, $60-65 million DOM for Tag. It's nice to see some mid-level films doing well in the wake of ncredibles 2 and Jurassic World 2.

The last time the Fourth of July lined up like this was 2012 when The Amazing Spider-Man opened on a Wednesday. The First Purge won't be anywhere near as big as that was obviously, but Ant-Man on Friday will pose a threat. Most movies dropped in the low-30s on Thursday in 2012, so it could get pretty ugly this Thursday.

Ocean's 8 likely will be WB's highest grossing film domestically this year until The Nun unless Crazy Rich Asians breaks out.

So far this summer only Overboard and Book Club have achieved at least a 3.00 multiplier. Tag and Hereditary will join that club this week with Ocean’s 8 joining them this coming weekend. The Incredibles 2 will surely join them as well in a couple of weeks.

Ocean’s 8 is having a fantastic run.

Also another thing to point out: budget matters. WB keeping the Ocean’s 8 at a modest budget will allow them to make more films in the future imo. $70M budget with $210M box office so far and the majority coming from North America. Yea theyd be crazy not to at least do Ocean’s 9.

They're gonna be like Microsoft Windows and go straight to Ocean's 10.

Ocean's XP was the best tho.

OS isn't as strong but I think WB will acknowledge that the World Cup was a factor although it's done better in many markets compared to the previous two films. I think if they do Ocean's 9, they should release it in November or December rather than June.
