Sucks to see practically everything decrease from early Friday estimates  Although I think Small Foot and The House are gonna have a really really strong Saturday so I am think their official weekend estimates will increase.

Pretty weak start for Old Man and the Gun. Maybe it’ll have more wide appeal, but that PTA isn’t encouraging.

It doesn't seem like the kind of movie that would set the box office on fire in limited release (these old-skewing limited releases hardly ever do). It's also not expected to be an awards contender beyond Redford (and even him being nominated is far from a sure thing) so I wouldn't expect more than a $10-15M total at best anyway.

Those numbers are middling at best for Smallfoot.

 

Can’t help but think they were aiming for much more with that theatre count.

It’s in line with WAG’s other September releases so I imagine it’s within WB’s expectations

Maybe...they did give Smallfoot a production budget of $80M, so I'd agree that they were probably hoping for a $30Ms+ start (and even $40M) when they greelit the project.  

 

I mean, this is not TTG's $10M budget:)...

 

Edit: Speaking of Teen Titans Go To the Movies...I just noticed it hit $50M+ WW, so it has been a little "you can do it" movie...it's probably its last milestone...

Small Foot has a budget of $80M? Yikes. Luckily for it, there aren't any kid friendly releases coming up soon so hopefully it can have decent legs in October until November hits with The Nutcracker and Wreck It Ralph 2

$80m isn’t too bad a budget, it’s in line with most animated films.
