a2k
The scenery was superbly realistic...aka unreal! I thought after all this years the quality of animation has reached a saturation point but the backgrounds here are something else.
kayumanggi
Animated movies can be nominated for visual effects, right? If I'm not mistaken RATATOUILLE was nominated (or maybe shortlisted).
Ethan Hunt
This shot... I could watch the trailer over and over again just for this shit
AniNate
Pretty much every single frame is MoMA worthy

The Lego Movie had the best VFX of any film last year.
AniNate
Even if they are I doubt the oscars will go for them over live action spectacles.
The Panda
This looks like it'll be emotional and spectacular. Pixar is back at it.

a2k
Why do you guys think the makers decided to go with so drastically different rendering for characters? Is it a work in progress? The kid and the green dino (main leads) are ok. But there's a shot of 2 t-rexes coming at the screen and that surprisingly "badly" rendered (not the background..that's great)...on purpose of course...but why? EDIT: Actually looking at the trailer again, apart from these 2 rexes all other characters look beautifully rendered. K1stpierre
OMG THAT TRAILER IS AWESOME!!! I loved it! The music, animation, just everything looks awesome.
AniNate
I think people may have a skewed view of the T Rex designs because we've only seen them with their mouths wide open in an unstable action shot. Haven't really gotten a chance to evaluate them as characters Edited July 22, 2015 by tribefan695

I was still worried Inside Out might just be an exception, but it's not looking so.
Ethan Hunt
If this is anywhere near as good as Inside Out I will be ecstatic
AniNate
Pete Sohn is the youngest current director, right? This being good would certainly reassure me about Pixar's future. Not that any of them are getting old yet, of course

shayhiri
Looks like croods, only it has dinosaurs and doesn't look anywhere near as fun. Finally!! Guys, I don't know what you smoking, but I DON'T want to try it. The animation is UGLY!! Both the cartoonish characters AND the artificial sheen on the backgrounds - and together they look even worse. Wanna know what looked great - Croods did. Very different than this. goldenstate5
I was wondering when Jessie and Shay would finally team up for the Pixar Contrarian Society.

The two monstrous blobs here have been given character one sheets in Brazil. This is the shot I hate most. It's so ugly and so bad. Looks like a 1990s version of Ice Age.
