Trailers: Elvis Jurassic World: Dominion (Random ad for Airbnb) Lightyear (4DX) Thor: Love and Thunder (4DX) Top Gun: Maverick (4DX, this was an extended look that was a 5 minute clip. 4DX effects got a really positive reaction) Avatar: The Way of Water (3D, no 4DX effects, chatters at the end) Very responsive crowd tonight. Laughs at the comedic moments, gasps at the death scenes, jumps at the jump scares, applause at the cameos. The last post credits scene got big laughs and someone shouted out "fuck you Marvel". Overall, a super fun movie
Anarchoreneage
MEN 5/20 7:30 PM. About 80% Full. Arthouse theater crowd. Trailers: Inland Empire Re-Release Vortex The Menu Crimes of the Future Two people walked out about 45 minutes in with one of them saying "we don't like this movie very much". Lots of laughter during some of the more bizaree sequences early on. Some "ewws" towards the body horror at the end. When it was over everyone just sort of sat there and shrugged like "Ok...". Crowd didn't seem to like it. I thought it was awful and I normally enjoy arthouse horror.

Crowd was super hyped for the movie and loved it. Laughs, cheers, and applauses at several moments. One group where one dude was clearly drunk got told to shut up a few times because they wouldn't stop talking. The whole theater cheered and applauded when it was over. One of the best theater experiences I've had in a while.

You know a movie’s good when the theatrical experience of watching it overrides the downside of people in the audience being annoying! Anarchoreneage
Crimes of the Future 6/2 8:00 PM 35% Full. Arthouse theater. Trailers: The Menu Inland Empire Re-Release Vortex Bodies Bodies Bodies Not really much of a reaction besides chuckles at a few moments. About an hour in someone had a medical emergency (either a stroke or seizure). Thankfully they seemed to be alright and were promptly escorted out of the theater. Wasn't a big fan of the movie itself.

Pinacolada
Top Gun Maverick Sat Jun 4 4:00pm 60% full Trailers: Vengeance (this got a ton of laughs. I was surprised, really good trailer honestly) Bullet Train Elvis Lightyear Thor: Love and Thunder (first trailer) This is like the most solid 8/10 movie of all time for me. Really liked it, 3rd act was outstanding. Just wasn't always crazy about the dialogue. Felt like scenes like the first one in the bar where everyone is getting introduced or whatever was just filled with a ton of dead air. Besides that, this was very good There were scattered applauses throughout Edited June 5, 2022 by Pinacolada
