wildphantom
I think Bond will hold up pretty well this weekend. Despite losing out on PLF screens altogether, the showtimes seem very frequent so still a ton of screens to meet demand. Average price will be lower, but I still think a 40% drop at most. Might be wrong, but we’ll see. Dune looks way busier today than yesterday in my city. I’m seeing it in an hour in IMAX (sorry…LIEMAX). Still, at least I’ll get the 1.90:1 presentation over the 2.35:1 regular screens are getting. Those of you lucky enough to get the variable 1.43:1/1.90:1 IMAX show - don’t talk to me. Lol.

But, what would have been the finales of NTTD if it wasn't delayed. I meant if it opened on last year. It's seem like they can not planned out in 60th anniversary (Impossible). If I remember right, the original plan was for NTTD to come out in November 2019, that would give 3 years to get a film ready for the 60th Anniversary of Dr No next year. Spy Who Loved Me feels like a combination of box office exploding after Jaws in 75, plus it's one of the most iconic films of the series here in the UK, especially the Esprit that changes in to a submarine. The SuperScreen and 4DX have certainly sold seats, but nothing near to selling out, even on opening day. ComScore just tweeted to say that Boss Baby 1 opened with £8m here, that’s crazy. Sequel in for a steep drop. Blade Runner 2049 opened to £6m, which again is surprisingly big (the same as Venom 2). Boss Baby had a seven day opening plus previews, it's not a like for like comparison.
