“Barbie collected £2.7m for Warner Bros over the weekend to bring its total to £84.8m. The Greta Gerwig blockbuster has now overtaken Titanic (£82.7m); Star Wars: The Last Jedi (£82.7m); and Top Gun Maverick (£83.7m) to become the eighth highest-grossing film of all time in the UK.”

Insane. 8th highest grossing film of all time.

Barbenheimer basically made cinemas their nut for the years, everything else was a bonus.

Ya, what's crazy is that this is happening at the same time as a £50+ million earner.

Truly insane month at the cinemas.

So Barbie made another £6.6m in the past week.

40% drops from now on get it to ~£95m! Could still challenge for top 5 of all time. Number 3 to 6 on all time list are extremely close, between £95 and £98m.

Oppenheimer made a further £4.3m in the past week, and 40% drops from now get it to ~£56m. Would be great to see it hit £60m, but hope it can top Dunkirk’s £56.8m as a minimum. Would place it number 30 on all time list.

Just incredible for both films.

It’s crazy Dunkirk made so much, I don’t remember it feeling as big of an event at the time as Oppenheimer does. Just perspective of course.

Barbie is the highest grossing film at the Irish box office ever

Barbie has broken Avatar's 14-year reign as the most successful movie in Irish box office history after it made €8,854,036 just one month and one day after its release.

The Greta Gerwig movie, starring Margot Robbie as the famous doll and Ryan Gosling as Ken, has also surpassed Titanic, which made €8,253,258 in Ireland after its release in 1997.

That awkward moment when you look at the top 10 and the only movie you've seen is Strays.
