Sunday was just under £1m for Marvels.

 

Weekend

 

1. Marvels £3.46m (lowest Marvel film since the original Captain America)

2. Trolls £957k

3. Flower Moon £661k

4. Freddy £637k

5. Tiger 3 £420k

6. Dream Scenario £345k

7. Anatomy Of A Fall £289k

8. Paw Patrol £287k

9. Taylor £253k

Not surprised. My cinema was dead yesterday. It was just me and my bf in our Marvels screening until the very last couple of trailers started. Ended with 8 of us in an auditorium of over 230 seats. There was more excitement from audiences during the mask-wearing, distancing period of COVID.

Yeah I went to see Bottoms yesterday and it really struck me just how utterly dead the foyer was considering it was the opening weekend of a Marvel film. Shocking performance.

 

Bottoms is great though, highly recommended!

Decent starts for Dream Scenario and Anatomy of a Fall at least. Saw X and Exorcist both passing £6m.

Bottoms is great though, highly recommended!

I enjoyed Bottoms too, didn’t think it was quite as laugh out loud as Joy Ride this year, but really enjoyed it.
