filmlover
I knew Richard Jewell was making it in here given their love for Eastwood/WB. Given the Supporting Actress field is on the weak side maybe Kathy Bates can sneak in.
lorddemaxus
I had Annette Benning down for a Supporting Actress nom. I'm thinking Kathy Bates takes that spot instead. Marriage Story was weaker than expected here. Seriously didn't expect Sandler to win over Driver (but I'm happy with it). I'm hoping Sandler also wins the NYCC award too. Honestly it doesn't change much but some movies could be gaining momentum here. Zellweger is the clear frontrunner for the Actress win tho. Yeah, I suspect once the televised awards shows come along there's gonna be no stopping her at that point.
lorddemaxus
Also I think this locks Knives Out for a SAG ensemble nom if it already wasnt.

I think getting into the top is more impressive though because of how rare it is for a foreign film. Roma getting into the top 10 last year was a big win for it. Parasite already has enough momentum for a BP mom though so this shouldn't be a very big deal. Joker will pick up momentum and buzz in the globes (like BR last year). though I'm more inclined to add Ford v Ferrari.

Valonqar
I hope we have a race instead of one movie/actor/actress/director sweeping everything. That said, I nod off to critics awards. They don't overlap with Oscars that much.
titanic2187
Last year Oscar race was one of the most suspenseful in years with now clear front runner and almost every guild and critics group went with different direction
