Eric the Clown
8 hours ago, lorddemaxus said: I have a feeling @Eric Atreides's source might be wrong. This website has a different list of films that's much closer to the films on Amazon: https://www.google.com/amp/www.popvortex.com/amp/movies/top-movies.php And this was an image of the top 1-8 (the film above The Hunt is GWTW) taken yesterday from the app itself: Something always seemed off about the Apple list posted here and I guess I now know why. Makes sense why BoP, The Invisible Man, and The Hunt never made it onto the Apple list and why Bloodshot is always on it. I don't get what you're going off on here. 1. Birds of Prey, Invisible Man and Hunt are on the Apple right now. Are you talking about Amazon? 2. If you are talking about Amazon, how does this prove the Amazon list is off? The link you're showing says iTunes Top Movies. iTunes is a part of Apple. It doesn't say "iTunes & Amazon". It doesn't say "Digital Top Movies." 3. Looking at the link you shared, it is almost identical to what is currently on the iTunes charts. The only omissions is that King of Staten Island and Trolls 2 are removed for some reason in the link, which are currently #1 and #15 respectively, and that says a lot about their accuracy, and the only other difference is that Sonic and Trading Places are in two different positions. How does this prove in any way my sources are wrong? The only differences to what you may see on the chart I post is just in the fact both Amazon and Apple update every hour. 4. If you want to know what my sources are, for Apple, it's the iTunes app on my computer. I think it's Apple TV on Apple devices, but that's where it is. I boot up the app every day to look at the charts. Amazon is this link right here: https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Movies-TV-Amazon-Video/zgbs/movies-tv/2958933011 You have to go a bit farther since it combines TV, but this is what I tally. In both instances, I'm literally using the actual app and link made by Apple and Amazon respectively to tally and look over this stuff. That's pretty good sources if you ask me. Does that fully explain the massive discrepancy? No. I wish I could give an answer here. But frankly mah boi, I think what I'm doing right now is A-OK, since the link you shared is just for iTunes/Apple, and I'm using direct sources, or at least as direct of a source as I possibly can. Of course as I say all that...man, I wish there was some firm or source or whatever that actually had access and could tally VOD sales and revenue. It would really make my job so much easier 1

Dil Bechara is the Fault In Our Stars one IIRC, that one sounded like a bad idea since it was announced. Sadak 2 is the big surprise for sure because it is the return of both Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt, which could have been a big marketing angle for it. Netflix's Indian content is horrible. Sacred Games S1 was the only thing that worked, and they pissed that away with Season 2. Recently they lost to Amazon Prime twice when they released Bard of Blood same day as Family Man, and Betaal same day as Paataal Lok. The less said about Netflix's Indian originals the better. They really need to invest in quality control for their indian content. Amazon Prime has the best Indian catalogue across languages, pretty much every major Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movie gets on there, and their hindi collection isn't bad either. filmlover
Have to laugh at a movie that ends with a disclaimer that basically says "we're all fucked" climbing the Apple chart throughout the weekend with everything going on in the real world. Judy also slaying too. Renee and Garland and @Cap continue winning!

RealLyre
charlie's angels is currently 1$ to rent on itunes/google play, so it makes sense that it's trending higher here. btw @Eric Atreides do you know where to see the daily/weekly best selling movies on google play? the "most popular" tab seem to have the same movies for weeks so im not sure if it's legit.
