Not sure how valid the grooming charges are gong to be, but that felony assault charge alone, about which there is little doubt that Miller did it would put him in the walking disaster territory.

Always a possibility, now that it exists.  But I'd bet that ultimately, like Fantastic Beasts, it will still go to theaters, no matter when the date is, so that they can attempt to recover some significant profit regardless of its star...and the buzz still seems to be that the movie itself is satisfying in the version that currently exists.  If it was already rumored to be a "mess" than it could be shuffled off...but it isn't, as far as I'm aware.

Well, reshooting all of Miller’s scenes would only make the whole thing even more expensive, so it looks like they’re in a real pickle.

Warners will probably continue to play the same move for now, keeping quiet.  They have no other reason to comment, considering they have at least 12 months  -- a delay that was likely pushed to try to let all of this calm down a bit.

He's a rare case of reshoots helping movies a lot. Too bad he's gone.

The charge against Miller is Felony Assault in the 2nd degree. I never said he has been convicted, but the charge is for a felony offense and unless things change that is what he will stand trial or plead guilty in a plea bargain for.

He is lucky he missed when he threw that chair, if had hit anybody it would go up from simple assualt to assualt and battery..a 1st degree offense.

I am also sure the  Warner's legal department has told them they do not want to get involved in anything that might look like they were trying to interfere with a serious criminal action. That could get Warners execs into deep do  do aside from b eing terrible for box office.

Main problem, imho, is that it's hard to tell if this will die down. Like - it's only been a month and he's already been accused of more stuff. A year is a good amount of time for things to die down but it's also a good amount of time for this PR nightmare to get even bigger.

Yeah, it is out of Warner's hands, out of Millers hands, and is now the hands of the Hawaiian DA's office. And they seem in no mood to speed things up, and want to treat this like any other criminal case.

I am sure that Warners silence is due not only to PR purposes. but that they don;t want to get in legal trouble by being seen as trying to interefere with a Criminal investigation.

You seem to talk about the Hawaiian DA office in every one of your posts when there's literally no indication that the office wants to do anything or even that there's any pending cases in Hawaii since everything was settled out of court. No idea why the DA would even step in at this point.

Every day, some crazy thing comes up about Ezra. There is a lot of chatter about the whole grooming thing. There wasn't much talk about the other allegations, but grooming a child is not in a position WB wants to be in.
