So Im wondering seeing performance of last few MCU movies-I do wonder if we are seeing a situation where there are MCU fans steadily going to see the films, but the more "casual" fans are not coming out as much. Im just seeing similar numbers for the past few. Dr Strange 2 955 World Wide, Black panther 2 800 Million, Thor 4 600 million. I see Antman probably bouncing around 6-700 million when done. I just wonder going forward with Box office if there's a set kind of minimum number now that an MCU film will do-like can we assume it will do at least 600-700 as far as returning MCU fans, with casual film goers making difference of how well a film does?

Antman is going sub 600 for sure.

It definitely is possible that the casual audience won't come out as much but I am not sure this film is the right measuring stick for that. There was some level of discrepancy between fans and GA already here through the Kang connection (which had the film behave more frontloaded than you'd expect from the scale of its opening), and the film being poorly received on top doesn't really help. I'd try and see what happens with GOTG first since it will have little fallout on rest of MCU and atleast likely to have good reception (pretty please boys, atleast this one lol).

So they are basically keeping this locked away until release. Probably smart of them because I do not think a single person here would be shocked at this going rotten (then again I thought the same about M3GAN and we all know how that turned out, but this smells quite a bit more like a turd and the review embargo doesn't exactly do much to disprove it...).

Where are the reviews for Cocaine Bear. It can't be that bad.

As of Thursday morning, Rotten Tomatoes has 5 reviews up, all positive, but lukewarm.

The review embargo only officially lifts this afternoon, but I'm not sure why. It seems like it's strong enough that the reviews aren't likely to scare people away. Maybe because the movie is so disposable, they figure it's better to release reviews as close to release as possible.
