Something weird is definitely going on with the script for Oppenheimer. Think it has to do with the sold out showing. Volume sold is fine, but pace doesn't make sense

Thank god for the holiday weekend, because apparently Flash is only making $64M in three days, but it’ll technically be $72M because Monday is Juneteenth. 
 

This is embarrassing, and that’s coming from someone that liked the film. It doesn’t look great for Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2.

For Indy comps, can we comp Flash to it now?  I don't expect 76-24 for the gender breakdown, but it's a big franchise film with baggage (although its baggage is the more traditional crappy previous sequel) appealing to 40+ Caucasian males, which is also opening against an animated, so I like the comp if we have it now:).

Sellouts are not outrageous for Oppenheimer. Especially if you have Imax/70mm. At MTC1 there are 29 sellouts at this point.

saw at least 2 reddit users post that Elemental managed to outsell The Flash in the theaters they were tracking. this looks crazy 

 

I don't think this effect can be repeated, but if it happens in more places we could be in for surprises.

I can tell you right now, it's more common than you think. Flash will still have a stronger Friday, but Elemental could be within 30% of it so a good number of theaters will favor Elemental.

Not really crazy. Elemental admits will be 80% of Flash during FSS, some regions will outsell it.
