My experience here in Ontario Canada with Black Adam is, as I mentioned earlier, BA is at 1400 seats compared to Thor 4 and Dr Strange 2 which had between 6=8 thousand seats sold at the time. I think even Black Panther which is still just under a month out I think has more seats sold right now, have to double check. Being relatively new to comping, I dont have any other DC titles to compare sadly in that regard. Critics reviews will probably give it a bit of a boost if favorable, but its tough. Someone mentioned about BA walk up heavy, Ive got a friend who didnt prebuy but is going on Sat to see Black Adam. Also, this might be a variant or not, but we are starting to get some colder weather up here now, have to be thinking particularly at those theatres near malls or in downtown cores how much they might get walk up sales just from out of the cold type of thing.

I read that Cineworld which includes Regal movie theaters are heading for bankruptcy and that they are starting to close some theaters... How will it affect upcoming movies & box office? 

(I didn't know where to post this, I don't know if there's a thread about it).

Trending towards convergence, with the higher comps drifting down and lower comps coming up, albeit a bit slowly. Still looking like $8-9M for Black Adam Thursday to me, but enough divergence and a high pace/late kick needed to match that won't be surprised if winds up in the $7M+ range instead

They did an A+ job this year setting up Christmas through New Year's to allow an 800-pound gorilla (Avatar) to suck up most of the attention, even Spider-Man had more competition (on paper, at least) last year.
