how come the Star Wars OT does not appear on those lists?

IV and V opened limited and expanded gradually. Usually we bounce around the list for Nth weekend of wide openers because it can be unclear which weekend should be counted otherwise. VI did open wide so it’s eligible, just hasn’t had any weekend big enough yet. It’s a 1983 movie and the lists are nominal, so pretty understandable.

That seems pretty good to me for a movie like this.  Everyone I know personally is just planning to watch it on HBO in April, especially with higher ticket prices and the runtime. It would be easily 4 hours of my time to go see this, which I'm just not willing to give up. Small sample, obviously.

Proving that this will be 200m opener had not they release this on HBO max after 45 days!

That's a good number. Saw it yesterday and my show had a decent-sized crowd.

Coincidentally, the coolest Monday gross will always be Dark Knight. Doing 24M was absolutely holy crap mind-blowing. The Mojo forum was something that day.

Problem with digital releases is that you get an HD copy and everyone just pirates it.

That is why the same day digital and theater release was such a flop.

Hm? There's no precedent for this, it's just No Way Home envy. It's not like Batman has ever done 200m OW, and the hype even pre-SVOD date didn't give the vibe that it would IMO.

the batman 3 could be 200m opener, unless the batman 2 is about the joker.

btw i'm pretty sure that with the inflation TDK is a 200m opener

Wrong.  $159M for 2022 would be $207M.
