I think that's terrible for Harry Potter. It can't match Twilight at all. Not that Twilight sells much on Blu, but I think the difference in DVD more than makes up for it.

What is that based on? OOTP has sold 11.6 million copies while HBP has sold 9.3 million, more than any twilight movie. HP 1-4 have sold even more.DH1's Blu-ray is still new and has had no holiday seasons in its run yet, so that number is kinda expected. Also many people were waiting for DH2's DVD to be released so that they could buy both at one.And remember, these sales don't include the sales from 'boxsets' which have sold quite a many copies in HP's case.

Super 8's sales are mediocre. Wonder if the blu ray had a better result.

Blu-ray did have a slightly better result. It sold around 586,000 Blu-ray units, so the combined sales were around 1M units. And since the Christmas shopping season is near, the sales will be holding well.So the numbers aren't bad at all.

I´m actually a little disapointed with its numbers. It was such a great original movie with good rewievs..I hoped it would become a sleeper hit on the homemarket

I wasn't comparing those movies because they were released such a long time ago. Deathly Hallows 1 against Eclipse is a good comparison or Half Blood Prince and New Moon. So far the numbers haven't even reached their overestimation mark. I'd consider that disappointing. Where are the buyers? Plus, the boxset is already available there which only adds a few hundred thousand.

True, but it's still lower than a lot of films.

We don't really need it to be I suppose? We've got a good first edition.

Not bad but not good either. Still mediocre. Maybe the BF sales were too much competition.
