TomThomas
The same reviews as Venom 1, but it doesn't matter, audiences love this dog shit, so it'll make its money back, China is up to a good start.
Mojoguy
Never realized until now how much Carnage and Woody Harrelson saved Venom 2. This new big bad guy in 3 looks like he came straight out of the MCU assembly line of forgettable villians. 3

Antman 3 we could see the warning signs based on reactions. venom was all very positive Of course there are exception, but we have seen pletny of examples ...particularly where geek movies are invovled...where early reactions are great, but later reactions are not. Early reactions are heavely slanted toward those who have a basic bias in favor of the film, particulary where CBMs or other "geek" movies are concerned. Alwlays take them with a grain of salt. Mad Max007
Deadpool and Wolverine saved CBMs this year. I doubt this will gross anywhere close to LTBC numbers. China is saving this but OS and domestic will drop for sure!

Both films got a B+ cinema score. It’s gonna do better than most post-pandemic Hollywood in China but still a far cry from the first. Audience reception seems to be just ok there too
Mulder
Both Venom 1 & 2 had awful legs. This all entirely depends on the OW and if the OW disappoints....

Also 3x is very common for animated films because families take their time to see films. Edited 2 hours ago by Mojoguy
CJohn
I think this won't have the toxic WOM of Marvels or Joker so it will crawl to the 100M even with an under 50M OW. 46/

And studios cannot depend on Chinese box office anymore, given how the number of foreting films released in Chinese theaters grows less each year. And, yes, I think this is political on the part of XI and the CCP.

They should get rid of most blackout dates and let American films juice up their boxoffice.
