Talk in forums is positive ... no experience yet among friends or family as no one has seen it (I usually watch my movies mid-week as I don't like the crowds ...)

final weekend estimates for Germany and it's looking really good:

#1: IO - 625k admissions (nice nice WOM seems to kick in)

#2: FJG2 - 550k (-30% or better, also very good)

#3: Sicario - 140k (surprise!)

#4: The Visit - 125k (-10%!)

#5: MR2 - 120k (-25%)

Very strong weekend all around, with good openers AND good holds! Remarkable how Minions dropped

 

Next weekend: The Martian has got good reviews and some awareness, expect a medium-sized hit! Pan otoh didn't generate much buzz and should disappear quickly from screens. A bit of a wild card is domestic Hitler-comedy "Er ist wieder da" - I don't expect big numbers at least for the opening.

first trend tomorrow but domestic Hitler comedy "Er ist wieder da" seems to be a surprise hit ... Martian strong, IO very good hold - overall super weekend again!

yep, wom for IO seems to be very good!

Also, overall an excellent weekend with very broad appeal - you have to go back until late Feb for a weekend with 4 movies bigger than 200k admissions (including previews, both openers even might 300k this weekend)
