Moana made 70% of it's gross in it's first 3 weeks, TS4 made 67% of gross and I2 made 62%. F2 isn't holding as good as any of them atm, maybe next week will have a good drop because of less competition. F2 is at $24.2m atm Using their numbers you get: $34.57m / $36.1m / $39m. That said by the 3rd weekend the multies of Moana/I2/TS5 were respectively: 3.47/ 3.5 /2.35. Frozen sits at 2.37 (same as TS4) both had a holiday start so makes sense for them to be that close. Still TS4 drop in 3rd weekend was 26.5% vs 48% of frozen. In it's 4th weekend TS4 dropped 24% so let's see if F2 can match that. My guess would be $35m for now so 11m than it has now. That said if next weeks drop is again 40% or more, 32m - 33m will be more likely. 1
Fullbuster
At least Frozen 2 beat Frozen 1 despite way worse exchange rates, and passing R$100m is always an accomplishment for an animated movie, it's not as common as it is for comicbook movies. Given my initial expectations it's hard to be disappointed given it's matching my forecasts: 25-30m.

Brunook
Minha Mãe É Uma Peça 3 became the highest grossing local film in history here in Brazil, with R$144m one month. I liked this film and it is much better than that of the quack minister.

Fullbuster
So, with Frozen 2's run being mostly done or predictable in Brazil and worldwide I think it's time for me to leave until the next movie that will interest me (it"ll be like that now as I said months ago, I will no longer be there each week to update the thread). I'll probably be back for Disney's Mulan, after that my absence could go till late 2020 for Raya and the last Dragon. When/If I'm back for Mulan I'll update Frozen 2's numbers and the stats about animated movies. See ya

Marcos12
Jumanji remained at the top despite not having a good drop, with R$9.3m (R$36.1m total). Minha mãe é uma Peça 3 in second with R$9.1m (R$156.1m total). 1917 debuted in third place with R$5.5m ( bad, but expected). Frozen 2 in fourth place with R$5,3m (R$114m total) https://www.exibidor.com.br/rankings/top-10-brasil/1459
pepsa
Bad drop for Jumanji and Frozen keeps dropping like a brick, 31m is were it will finish probably. Honestly those were some bad drops for an animation movie. A total of 130m lc is still good, and much higher than Frozen lc total but damm those drops. Fullbuster
So I leave and that's what happens: 16 days of inactivity?? Let's up all this, and let's hope the Sonic movie will boost all this xD I'm a longtime fan of Sonic but I will see the movie only if it's good enough If it's the case then I might be back to track it with you. Fullbuster
$3m OW for Sonic The Hedgehog, that's a bit weak compared to the DOM performance but with good legs it might reach $15m and end honorably, who knows.
Cooper Legion
Not great for Sonic, not awful. This thread being so dead is kind of a bummer, albeit many OS threads are dead right now because we’re lacking in movies doing big OS business. If someone provides me a source for where to see weekend numbers (is $R or USD) I’ll make sure there’s at least one post per weekend.

It really bothers me to have this thread so reliant on me being there or not, it's not healthy. I'm gonna give you some sources a bit later

Fullbuster
The Brazil Box Office might look terrible this year if numerous films are delayed worldwide. At least the coronavirus isn't strong in Brazil for now so the decrease might be more acceptable than in Europe and Asia.
