Brazil Box Office Thread

The New Mutants made R$ 1,1 million on its opening weekend. Overall box office rose to R$ 2,2 million (+69%) this weekend, with 43% of Brazilian cinemas open.

 

Scoob! reached R$ 2 million total, and Fantasy Island R$ 1,5 million. Tenet opens this weekend.

Yeah, i can't wait till Covid is over (obviously cause that means no more people dying from it) but also because I do really miss these boxoffice runs 😛

YEAH :D

I really hope the Brazilian BO will be reborn, it was so strong back in 2019 despite being hampered by horrible exchange rates.

 

It's really hard to predict anything about Raya and the Last Dragon as I don't know what kind of restrictions Brazil theaters have to abide by or how the population feels about going back to theaters...Black Widow should have a better chance as much more people will be vaccinated by May, even more if they delay it a bit.

Tragically the exchange rate in 2019 looks positively good nowadays. Endgame would lose a further 25% in USD now that $1 is worth nearly 5.5 BRL 😔
