Creed 3 and Ant-Man's difference is of just R$4k. Like I said in the previous post, it is the best opening in the Creed trilogy, if it pulls the same legs as the first two the movie it should end in the R$13M-R$14M mark, unless legs are better. The Whale improved reacting to the expansion and the excelent WoM, and the fact that Brendan Fraser is super beloved in the country. Missing opened just bellow Searching (R$1.4M). In the next couple of weeks the Oscar movies are getting discounted and expanded in many chains. Next weekend is time for Scream VI, 65 and Coração de Neon (Neon Hearth).

ThatWaluigiDude
John Wick 4's pre-sales starts on the 9th. Shazam 2's pre-sales are pretty bad so far, bad in a sense that it barely even sold anything to the point it haven't justified opening the pre-sales early.

This is concerning. DC used to be especially popular in Brazil.

ThatWaluigiDude
Pre-sales have also started in Brazil for Super Mario. The weird news is that they will be starting with previews on the midnight of april 4th, I 've never seen an animated movie doing that. Super weird. About Shazam 2, pre-sales have improved a bit since trailers started to show up on tv, it is still a far cry from other cbm movies but it is something, I guess. Something tells me it will be one of those movies that will live or die depending of the WoM.

ThatWaluigiDude
Ant-Man reached R$50.4M on wednesday, it is now the highest grossing movie in the trilogy. However, with Scream this weekend, Shazam the next and John Wick right after, it should fail to reach 3 millions in admissions.

Outside the top 10 EEAAO got a small boost from the Oscar. Next weekend, we will see how much Shazam 2 will open, it will also release Medusa and Vai Corinthians. ThatWaluigiDude
So, tonight Shazam 2's previews have started, I think this is on a last minute since those weren't open to pre-sales. Anyway, I 've been taking a look at screenings at São Paulo. Maybe it is because those weren't advertised early. Maybe tomorrow walk-ins will be good since it is a kids movie and weekend numbers will be decent. Maybe it is a problem from São Paulo and other cities have a different tale, maybe tomorrow numbers will be fine. But from all I see in São Paulo...Creed 3, Scream VI, The Whale, they were all selling better than Shazam. Guys, this is bad. 2 1

ThatWaluigiDude
About Shazam 2, I am still waiting for the previews numbers and will update when (if) they are revealed, but it did released behind Scream VI on wednesday and quite likely from Creed 3 too
