Based on all of the Letterboxd ratings I'm seeing so far, I predict this will have around a 2.9–3.0 average when it releases, same average as Knock at the Cabin. I initially thought the consensus would be worse considering some of the test screening reactions I saw.

Knock at the Cabin is a very solid film. It should have made more but I understand it's limited appeal. The book on the other hand is amazing.

I'm excited to see this film today. It's very rare we get a big movie with no reviews even 2 hours out from the first showing.

I really wish they kept the original August 9 release date 😭 So bummed I can't see it today because of finals. Also it wouldn't be as overshadowed by Deadpool and might have gotten a couple Dolby showings
