Yeah the post-mortem for this film is going to be real messy. Just a huge miss across the board. It's not like a 90% on RT would have doubled the films domestic opening weekend. 

 

Such a wide spread initial global rejection means this was just a total misread on the studios part with the concepts total appeal. There was very little demand for this film in 2023. Maybe if it came out in 2019 would have been received better.

275-300 imo. Ant Man 3 and Shazam 2 legs gets it to 265-270m. So even if it has better legs than that it will still barely get to 300. If it runs like Black ADam then it clears 350m but I dont think thats gonna happen

yes probably not gonna happen since it lost to TF6, Elemental for daily in some markets. People just do not give a shit about it...

Just so disappointing to see. Just didn't connect with audiences.

 

Given the totals we are now seeing you can make a strong argument that WB should have shelved the movie and not released it to theaters. These WW totals suggest it won't even make back its marketing budget. 

 

WB really does need to figure out its DC properties. This is the second big CBM money loser for them in a few months.

Makes me fear for Blue Beetle as well.
