Sales declined at 4 theaters again today (net total of -19). Think the issue has something to do with how Fandango is rendering blocked seats. I've noticed more X's being displayed than are being tabbed at a few showtimes.

Slowed down a little bit. But not doing that bad. If it can maintain this pace, should end up with ~1500 more sales by T-10ish. From there it will be ~35-40% capacity, which leaves room for a nice bump through T-Final. Fully expecting this to finish north of 60% capacity at this point.

The Exorcist: Believer had today 447 sold tickets for Thursday, October 5 (with showtimes in all 7 theaters). 24 days to go.
Up 67% since last Thursday.
That was a very nice jump but today its sales also looked a bit uneven because it has now not less than 280 sold tickets in the AMC in LA (e.g. The Nun II finally had 417 sold tickets in that theater). But also in other theaters (with the exception of the AMCs in Michigan and Texas) - really strong numbers.

Comps (all films counted for Thursday): M3gan had on Monday of the release week 274 sold tickets
and Prey for the Devil had also on Monday of the release week 115 sold tickets.
Evil Dead Rise had with 6 days left 421 sold tickets.
Insidious 4 had with 8 days left 153 sold tickets.
Nope had with 10 days left 1.355 sold tickets. But as mentioned, this film was very presales-heavy in my theaters.
The Boogeyman had with 10 days left 39 sold tickets.
And Halloween Ends had with 10 days left 511 sold tickets.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding had 164 sold tickets on Tuesday = 1 day later.

Not that bad (high single digits so far). I expected worse presales because Death on the Nile underperformed despite the very well known book template. But maybe it helps that people don't know the twist. And maybe when it comes to Death on the Nile fans of the original decided that they don't need a mediocre remake?
