Today, FNAF got an extra screen at both my Cinemarks - bumped up to 3 screens (with 1 XD) and 2 screens (so 12 and 8 showings), respectively.  Still probably underset, but a good sign that Cinemark as a chain (which underset this movie) is not gonna wait til the week of to try to fix their error.

 

They did the same for Barbie, upping their showings 3 times prior to the week of...

I just saw it confirmed that Marvels will be on sale at Cineplex starting Tuesday, 9am EST.

 

This is the same day the full schedule for T Swift weekend,, and whatever resolution to the matinee show crisis. Plus, still no update on FNAF tickets, which I have to assume will go on sale soon.

 

All this while Cineplex is rolling out a new glitchy app, so it's going to be a little chaotic.

Renaissance at least has long time to its release and so its pace is fairly good. Flower Moon on the other hand has been disappointing after a good opening day of presales. Since strong reviews have been known for months, I am not sure what can boost except good walkups.

Renaissance at least has long time to its release and so its pace is fairly good. Flower Moon on the other hand has been disappointing after a good opening day of presales. Since strong reviews have been known for months, I am not sure what can boost except good walkups. 

Sigh. Then the potential things working against Killers are  probably going to work against it. The length, subject matter,  and it appealing  mainly to the 45+ audience that has been alergic to movie theaters for the most part since Covid.

It seems that around 3-4 for Thursday previews no? What would this translate to for a domestic opening? Sometimes it seems like it’s going to do really well but comments like this confuse me.

Yeah for a 3 hour 26 minute movie 3-4 would not be bad for thursday previews. That would probably translate to 25 -35 for the weekend depending on IM/WOM. That would not be bad but the budget  is what everybody has and will be hung up on.

I don’t think so. 25-35 is impressive for a movie like this, which isn’t a franchise and is R rated and long. I would love for it to get closer to 40 but that seems unlikely.
