I dunno... Maybe?  Maybe not??  The Sat bump was already large so it's hard for me to say.  I'll leave it to the data munchers to figure out.  If there was one, does look to be slight.

 

Either way, even though I think the ATP will be gah-bage, added AtSV by request.  Probably more useful for pacing purposes than anything else.

I admit to being a bit EXTRA as we're not even close to the final show count.  But all of these extra DBOX showtimes (which don't show up on the show count but are included in the seat count) is making this longer than it might seem at first glance (Reserved + DBOX = 357 showtimes, currently — admittedly with a handful of sold out DBOX showings that I no longer have to check).

 

Also given that a few theaters have quite a bit more room to grow, I strongly suspect that this is gonna go past my current show count (again not counting DBOX) record from DS2 of 409 showtimes.  With the added DBOX theaters since then, it's gonna shatter my internal counting number.

 

Gotta say, I ain't looking forward to the Thur Final Count. :--/

MTC4 still hasn't released tickets to Trap yet, despite US sales opening, but Thursday preview tickets will become available later today as showtimes for the next week opens. I've been eager to track that, and I'll have an estimate of Saw X to use as a comp that had a similar sales cycle. 

 

Harold and the Purple crayon will also go up for sale in a similar manner. But I'm probably not tracking that.

Did you read any bad ones? I mean they are first reaction so they usually are good. But normally if a movie is not really good they sound not as enthusiastic as they do for D&W. And as I said - I did not found a bad one at all... Full reviews will be worse of course but high 70s or low 80s on RT would be enough. Look at Guardians 3. And I expect that range.

I don't think initial opening weekend will be impacted too much by reviews either way. Anyone who's still on the fence is probably waiting for the fanboy rush to end regardless.

My theory was that it was gonna be reviews that helped drive home the big finish line push starting today, but that only works if the reviews are there to make that push. Could also hurt legs.
