Sophia Jane
In Africa,IO2 opened with N24.2m in Nigeria.normal performance, not super impressive but not bad at all,Frozen 2 and Spider-Man across Spider verse are only 2 animation film doing over 100m in Nigeria,if WOM doing good then this film also has chance doing over 100m. However,Spider-Verse doing 28m opening,so if we consider IO2 is an animation film,it’s doing pretty impressive in Nigeria. Sophia Jane
Just notice is gonna challenge AEG Latin America Region’s record(both admission and BO)..It’s actually never happened in the region after 21 century, last time the animation film take the region’s champion is The Lion King (1994),a lot of animation movie used to close the champion, for example,Ice age Dawn of Dinosaur(2009) used close Titanic record in LA but finally lose it,then Avatar at same year beat Ice age 3,in 2012,Ice age continent draft beat Avatar but Avengers released before Ice age VI land in LA,so it’s lose champion another time.Minions (2015) also close to the record in the region but Fast Furious VII and Avengers AOU higher than Minions and also released before Minions… Edited June 24 by Sophia Jane 2

Is there a renaissance of sorts for animation movies in India. Even Panda 4 did great. Beyond the Spider-Verse/Incredibles 3 could even go for 100? Beyond the Spider-Verse/Incredibles 3 could even go for 100? Probably not. Just a coincidence. DM4 I am hoping does 30+ atleast. These numbers are still peanuts. KFP has historically done well so that's nothing new. Besides 5/10 films in top ten are 2016 or before. For a country with nearly ~10% inflation, that's an awful thing. Yeah I hope something does 100 soon. Was expecting Across to do that, but it opened meh and then just crawl to 55. I2 inflation adj is ~70. F2 is ~65. It’s going to do ~3m more than Garfield, when it’s at least doubling it in every other market, that’s definitely disappointing

At least it's easily beating that, few American films can say that these days. Agree it's disappointing compared to other markets.
