INSIDE OUT II | 958.1M overseas | 1596.0M worldwide

Recommended Posts

I wouldn’t say 0 chance in Japan, sometimes freak breakouts happen. But a freak breakout is exactly what would be needed and there are only a few of those per decade so ahh… definitely don’t hold your breath, lol.

Probably passing 100M in Mexico unfortunately which will kill that bit of trivia.

Locked to beat Barbie DOM (close), WW (not that close) and OS (not at all close).

Sequels in Japan rarely increase, and Inside Out 2 would need to quadruple the original's gross, doing so while Disney's status as a studio has collapsed within the market on top of that, so if you don't want to call that 0 chance...well, let's just say I would say it's pretty damn close to that 😛

Only hope is IO2 blasting in Japan and making it to the 100M mark, which could be feasible.

Trust me, it's not. For reasons people have said before. Also the Yen in Japan is very weak now. 16 billion Yen for Inside Out 2 is not going to happen. Frozen II made 13 billion Yen in Japan, for example.

Inside Out II need to do more than what SLAM DUNK did in yen to reach $100M

I don't know why people feel so easy to say when the exchange rates is unfavorable

Even with a good exchange rate it is a big risk to say the movie would reach $100m. I mean it has been long since a disney animation movie really clicked in Japan.

Actually this is surprised international weekend total considering its major market like UK, Italy, china and South Korea all registered substantial drop this weekend. Must be some crazy hold from holdovers or some new addition of small market.

This is just crazy and I do wonder if it can make it to $1 billion OS. The Lion King 2019 WW will be a very close goal. ($1.66 billion)

I agree. INSIDE OUT II making 50M on its FIFTH WEEKEND is just ridiculous.
