This makes me inclined to think that Coco is a really short movie (meaning less than 90 minutes). What does our beloved @Halba think of that?

I'd be really surprised if it was shorter than 90 minutes. They don't make them like that anymore, it seems.

So Disney is doing what they normally do which is attach a short.   I think it'd be dope if they attached an older short to a new film.

this shit too long to be a short. i guess not a feature. it's more like a medium.

It's a featurette. The last time they did it was in the 1990s.

I don't think it'll be too big of a boost. Remember Disney has to market Thor and Jedi too, and will probably forget about Coco like TGD and Moana. Cinderella had a Frozen short too and did $200M domestic. Coco will probably do the same +/- $15M. They'll probably air the short two weeks after Coco.

In what world did Disney forget about Moana?

The marketing was kind of weak leading up to release.

That seems anecdotal. I don't think you can really say that at all.

It certainly didn't perform like a movie they forgot about.

There was a lot made about Moana's marketing leading up to release. It didn't perform like Frozen or even Zootopia so it was considered underwhelming

In Coco's case, though, I think being the one hope Disney has for animated glory this year will give them more motivation to promote it. They have started its campaign much earlier than The Good Dinosaur's for what it's worth.
